Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your company's apps
Let Claude, ChatGPT or another AI tool use your company's apps. You choose exactly what it can see and do, and you approve every sign-in.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI tool to your company's apps. It can only use what you approve, and you can switch it off at any time.
Who can do this
Owners and admins of a company. Other members don't see Connected assistants, and they can't approve a sign-in.
1. Create the assistant
- Open your company's Settings and find Connected assistants.
- Give the assistant a name, then pick Which assistant?:
- Claude (web, desktop & mobile)
- ChatGPT
- Claude Code or the Anthropic API
- Another AI tool (Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini CLI…)
- Click Connect an assistant. White Ghost shows the setup for the tool you picked.
- Click Choose what it can use and tick exactly what this assistant may see and do. An assistant can't use anything until you choose it here.
Each assistant gets its own link. The link isn't a secret: on its own it can't do anything until an owner or admin approves a sign-in. You can open it again any time with Show link.
2. Connect it
Claude
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it, paste the assistant's link and click Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude suggests.
- Click Add, then Connect. Claude sends you to White Ghost to approve (see below).
- In a chat, click + → Connectors and turn it on.
Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds the connector first (Organization settings → Connectors), then each person clicks Connect.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins), click +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it, paste the assistant's link as the server URL and choose OAuth for authentication.
- Tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin. ChatGPT sends you to White Ghost to approve (see below).
- In a chat, type @ and pick it.
This is available on some ChatGPT plans, and a workspace admin may need to allow it.
Claude Code or the Anthropic API
These use an access key. White Ghost shows it once, right after you create the assistant, together with ready-to-paste setup:
- Claude Code: save the
.mcp.jsonsnippet in your project. - Anthropic API: add the
mcp_serversblock to your message request.
Treat the access key like a password. If you lose it, revoke the assistant and connect a new one.
Other AI tools
Add the assistant's link as a remote MCP server. When the tool signs in, it sends you to White Ghost to approve. Replace the example address below with your assistant's link:
Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json):
{ "mcpServers": { "company-apps": { "url": "https://integrations.example.whiteghost.ai/mcp/abc123def456" } } }
VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json):
{ "servers": { "company-apps": { "type": "http", "url": "https://integrations.example.whiteghost.ai/mcp/abc123def456" } } }
Codex CLI:
codex mcp add company-apps --url https://integrations.example.whiteghost.ai/mcp/abc123def456
codex mcp login company-apps
Gemini CLI (~/.gemini/settings.json, then run /mcp auth company-apps):
{ "mcpServers": { "company-apps": { "httpUrl": "https://integrations.example.whiteghost.ai/mcp/abc123def456" } } }
If your tool can't sign in and only takes a header, open If your tool only takes a header in the setup panel. Use the same link and send the access key as Authorization: Bearer <access key>. For example, in Cursor or VS Code add "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <access key>" } next to url. The key is shown only once, when you create the assistant.
3. Approve the sign-in
When you connect it from Claude, ChatGPT or another tool, it opens White Ghost's approve page. The page shows:
- the assistant, and the name the tool gives itself
- what the assistant can use
- where you'll go back to after you approve. Check this address.
Only approve a sign-in you just started yourself. White Ghost warns you when the sign-in returns to an app on your own computer, or to a site that isn't Claude or ChatGPT. Approve only if you started it from there.
Click Approve and you'll go back to the tool, signed in. Click Deny and nothing is connected. A sign-in request lasts a few minutes. If it expires, start again from the tool.
One sign-in per assistant
Each assistant can be signed in from one place at a time. Approving a new sign-in replaces the current one, and the approve page tells you before you do. To use Claude and ChatGPT side by side, create two assistants.
The Status column shows where each assistant stands: Waiting for sign-in, Linked to … (and who approved it), Active (access key) or Revoked. Last used shows when it last used anything.
Switch it off, or delete it
- Revoke switches an assistant off immediately. Its link and access key stop working, and anywhere it's signed in is signed out. It can't be turned back on; connect a new assistant instead.
- Once switched off, you can Delete it, or remove every switched-off assistant at once with Clear revoked.
Troubleshooting
- "Only owners and admins can approve this": ask an owner or admin of the company to click Connect in the tool and approve it.
- "This sign-in expired": start again from the tool, then approve within a few minutes.
- "This link wasn't recognised": copy the link again from Settings (Show link) and add it to the tool again.
- The assistant can't see anything: open Choose access in Settings and tick what it may use.
- The tool can't sign in: use the access key instead (see Other AI tools above), or create a Claude Code or the Anthropic API assistant.
