Passkeys and our new web address

Why passkeys created before the move to whiteghost.ai need to be added again — and how to do it in under a minute.

Ghosty now lives at whiteghost.ai — the console is at console.whiteghost.ai, and links to the old address bring you to the new one automatically.

One thing can't move automatically: passkeys. A passkey only works on the web address where it was created — that's part of what makes passkeys so safe, and it means passkeys added before the move can no longer sign you in.

You are not locked out

Your account, apps, and data are exactly where you left them. Signing in with an email link works as always, and so do Google and GitHub sign-in if you've connected them.

Adding a new passkey

  1. Sign in at console.whiteghost.ai with an email link (or Google/GitHub).
  2. Open Settings from the sidebar.
  3. In the Passkeys section, choose Add a passkey and follow your device's fingerprint, face, or PIN prompt.
  4. Repeat on each device you sign in from.

Passkeys from before the move show a "Needs a refresh" mark in that same list — they're harmless, but they no longer do anything, so feel free to remove them once your new passkey works.
